Ingredients
- 1 (18.25 ounce) Betty Crocker SuperMoist Chocolate Fudge cake mix
- 1 (3.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
- 4 whole eggs
- 1 cup water
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups sour cream
- 1 cup mik chocolate chips
Directions
- 1Spray a 4 quart slow cooker with cooking spray or grease inside with butter/margarine/crisco
- 2In a large bowl, add the cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, water, oil, and sour cream and beat until smooth. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- 3Pour mixture into the slow cooker and cook on high for 1 hour, then turn down to low and cook for 3 more hours or until cake is set. Every slow cooker cooks at a different speed so make sure to check it at 4 hours. The cake will still be moist but not soggy. If you can, remove pot from slow cooker so cake does not continue cooking, or unplug.
- 4Dish up big scoops from the pot and serve warm with warmed fudge topping or Hersheys syrup, a large scoop of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and nuts!
NOTE: Every slow cooker is different. My slow cooker cooks at a higher heat than my mom's apparently so I would highly recommend frequent cake checks toward the end of the cooking time to avoid over cooking.
